    1. I believe openoffice, is availaible for both, Id check it out. I believe theres a database program in it somewhere.

    2. I’ve used Open Office’s version of Microsoft Access but unfortunately found it to be sub-par in its functionality, also don’t think it is available yet for Mac. Your best bet is probably one of the following, goodluck!:
      - Crystal Reports
      - File Maker Pro
